Hi, I’m Johanah Faber.

About Me

I grew up in a big, loving family with seven siblings and now 13 nieces and nephews, so caring for children has always been woven into my life. Early on, I followed that passion by earning my ECE Level 1 in Alberta and working in daycares, where I discovered how much I love supporting little ones and the families who care for them.

Life then took me down a very different path—into carpentry, where I worked for 21 years. Being a queer woman in the trades shaped me deeply. I learned what it feels like to constantly defend and prove yourself, to stand alone, and to navigate spaces where support isn’t always offered freely. Those experiences fuel my commitment now: that no woman should ever have to feel alone, especially in one of the most vulnerable and powerful seasons of life—concieving pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.

I give deep credit to my mother, who was a huge part of my life and is no longer on this earth. She also played a profound role in my sobriety. That reconnection became the beginning of my healing journey, shaping the woman I am today. My intention in all my work is to create a space where every woman feels seen, heard, supported, and nourished. I bring my lived experience, my sensitivity, and my passion for women and children into every interaction.

I have been a foster parent and am currently in the process of fostering again, which has only deepened my understanding of the many forms that family, love, and caregiving can take. I am also on my own fertility and conceiving journey, which has opened my heart even further to the emotional, physical, and spiritual layers of trying to grow a family. These experiences allow me to meet others with empathy, softness, and lived understanding.

My intention in all my work is to create a safe space where every woman feels seen, heard, supported, and nourished. I bring my lived experience, my sensitivity, and my passion for women and children into every interaction

After a back injury forced me to slow down, I listened closely to what my heart had been calling for all along. My path rerouted, guiding me toward work that feels aligned with who I truly am. Today, I am stepping into a role that allows me to surround myself with women, uplift them, and offer the care I wished I had in my own journey.

I am deeply passionate about cooking and preparing herbal remedies as a form of care—infused with intention to bring comfort, nourishment, and gentle healing to those who receive them.

I am truly excited to begin this chapter—honouring women, holding families with compassion, and walking alongside them with strength, softness, and deep respect..

“I had the pleasure of working with Johanah as my student doula, and she was an absolute joy. Her passion and enthusiasm for the journey of motherhood truly radiates through everything she does. From our first meeting, I felt seen, heard, and valued.

Johanah is incredibly kind and respectful, and she went above and beyond to support my specific needs during pregnancy. She provided valuable nutritional guidance and has a wonderful gift for massage that brought real comfort during those final weeks.

What makes Johanah truly special is her knowledge and tools to help mothers embrace the spiritual side of giving birth. She brings beautiful mindset work, especially through a witchy lens, incorporating manifestation and compassion into her practice. She believes plants and herbs can be used as allies to nourish the body, creating a holistic approach that honours both the physical and spiritual aspects of the birthing journey.

Beyond her skills, Johanah is a genuine and kind soul who brings both warmth and professionalism to her work!“
